What is the Clowns at the Carousel Event?

Clowns at the Carousel began in 2003 when Korn Patch Klowns and Des Moines Parks and Recreation teamed up in recognition of International Clown Week and the National Night Out events.

Each year, thousands of children and adults have enjoyed a free family activity.  This summer, the event will be on Sunday, August 3rd  from 4-7 pm.  All activities are FREE and open to the public thanks to our generous sponsors. 

Throughout the evening, there will be inflatable rides, carousel rides, mounted police, strolling entertainment, balloons, FREE food and educational information for families. We invite you to join us for a night of laughter and entertainment to enjoy one of the great parks in Des Moines and to help us kick off international clown week!
